Retail-first software versus an ERP that includes retail

LOGIC ERP is, as the name says, an ERP — a system designed to run a whole business's operations, with pharmacy as one configured vertical alongside apparel, supermarket, footwear and others. That architecture brings genuine strengths: a mature purchase module, configurable registers, GST handling built for businesses more complex than a single counter, and a partner network across India that can configure it to how a particular business actually works. For a pharmacy that is part of a larger retail operation, or one with genuinely unusual processes, configurability is worth real money.

The cost of that generality is that configurability is the opposite of opinionated defaults. An ERP asks you to define how your registers, batches, and workflows should behave; a pharmacy-first tool decides most of that for you because there is only one kind of business it serves. For a shop with a pharmacist and one or two counter staff and no IT person, having the software already know what a Schedule H1 sale requires — without anyone configuring it — is usually worth more than the ability to configure it differently.

"Batch-wise inventory with expiry tracking" versus enforced FEFO — a real distinction

These sound like the same feature and are not, which is worth spelling out because it's the single most consequential difference on the whole table. Batch-wise inventory with expiry tracking means the system knows each batch's expiry date and can report on it — you can run a report, see what's expiring, and act. Enforced FEFO means the software actively picks the first-expiring batch when a medicine is billed, and refuses to sell an expired one at all.

The difference only shows up under pressure. A tracking system depends on somebody running the report and acting on it; during a busy week, nobody does, and stock quietly expires on the shelf while the data sat there correctly the whole time. Enforcement doesn't depend on anyone remembering. The refusal to sell expired stock is the sharper half: selling an expired drug is a regulatory exposure under the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, not just a financial write-off, and a system that warns rather than blocks leaves that decision to whoever is at the counter at the time. When comparing any two pharmacy products, this is the question worth asking directly — does it warn, or does it block?

Frequently asked questions

Should I switch from LOGIC ERP Pharmacy to Nesayo?

Consider switching if you want to bill from a phone or tablet instead of a Windows counter, want voice billing in Hindi and Hinglish, want 5 autonomous AI agents running overnight on expiry, refills, stock and payments, or want to start on a free tier with no AMC. Stay on LOGIC ERP if you depend on its multi-vertical retail/wholesale modules outside pharmacy that Nesayo does not target. You can run both side by side for a week before deciding.

Can I migrate my LOGIC ERP stock data to Nesayo?

Yes. Nesayo accepts CSV and Excel stock exports. Common expiry formats (MM/YY, MMM-YY, DD.MM.YYYY, ISO) are auto-detected, and the 253,973-medicine catalog matches most SKUs by name or composition during import.

Does LOGIC ERP Pharmacy offer voice billing or AI agents?

Not publicly documented on the vendor's website as of June 2026. LOGIC ERP lists pharmacy billing, batch/expiry tracking, GST and reporting modules, but voice billing and autonomous AI agents are not part of the published feature set.

How does pricing compare?

Nesayo billing is free forever in 2026, with an AI Employee tier at ₹999/month (2026) for the 5 agents, voice billing and photo prescription scan. LOGIC ERP pricing is quote-based and depends on modules, users and onboarding, so direct comparison needs a vendor quote — verify any figures with LOGIC ERP before deciding.

Does Nesayo support multi-branch pharmacies?

Yes. The Chain tier at ₹2,999/month + ₹999/month per additional store (2026) covers multi-location pharmacy chains with consolidated reporting and role-based access. LOGIC ERP supports multi-branch via its enterprise configuration.
